HIFU

WHAT IS HIFU

HIFU short for High Intensive Focussed Ultrasound is a highly precise medical procedure that uses heat to destroy pathogenic tissue rapidly. Originally used for the treatment of prostate cancer, the technology was then upgraded for the use of beauty and is now used for various non-invasive treatments in the beauty industry.

HIFU operates by the controlling depth of trauma to your skin that enables and stimulate growth of collagen. Skin can become firmer and reduce wrinkles, tighten loose skin sagging skin, or kill fat cells by targeting deeper into the skin.

Treatments are non-invasive with no down time. You can expect to return to normal activities after treatment and results are best seen between 8 to 12 weeks after treatment.

HIFU can be used for different areas of the body to target problems of the skin as well as body contour areas where stubborn fat cells can be eliminated from the body permanently.

NON-INVASIVE FACE LIFT

Unlike surgical procedures, HIFU requires no downtime as there is no damage to the surface of the skin. Targeting the SMAS layer of the skin, HIFU can offer the result of a facelift with no downtime requirement. The treatment does not hinder day to day activities and there is no need to reorganise your social engagements unlike other treatments.

The more we age, the less collagen our body produces. This in turn causes lines and wrinkles as well as the appearance of saggy skin. HIFU eliminates this and can offer a more youthful appearance without the need to go under the knife.

The treatment itself is painless and is controlled by the therapist. You can choose to have the treatment on full face and neck or on targeted areas of the face.

Treatment time may vary depending on area of choice. Repeat treatments are sometimes recommended if the skin is more aged and maintenance treatment is often advised to maintain the youthful appearance.

Areas that can be treated includes

  • Forehead
  • Crows feet
  • under eyes
  • Cheeks
  • Jowls
  • Chin
  • Upper lip
  • Neck

BODY CONTOURING

We often have problem areas where cellulite or saggy skin is obvious. HIFU can be used to smoothen the skin to reduce the problematic appearance and tighten skin that can overhang on the abdomen. By stimulating new collagen, the skin can plump up and firm up by targeting the problem area without the use of needles or surgery.

In areas where there is stubborn fat, HIFU can penetrate deeper into the subcutaneous layer of our skin to diminish fat cells which will then leave our body through our lymphatic drainage system. Contouring our body shape is now possible without having to go under the knife with no down time.

Repeat treatment may be required for problem areas and maintanence treatments are recomended after 16 to 24 months dependant on service required.

Areas that can be treated includes

  • Full abdomen
  • Upper abdomen
  • Side Flanks
  • Inner/outer Thighs
  • Arms
  • Lower back

HIFU can be combine with other aesthetic treatments such as Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injectables or Fat Freezing in order to further help with contouring body shape.

VAGINAL REJUVENATION

HIFU as a treatment has many benefits. Another great benefit is that it can help women with problems often arriving afterbirth. Urinal incontinence being a major factor, infections as well as lack of moisture can sometimes often cause problems with their everyday life. By using HIFU, it promotes collagen that can help strengthen the laxity of the vagina. Although pelvic exercises are promoted to help with these issues, the reality is not everyone has time to make it happen.

Treatment time can be completed within 30 minutes and no downtime is necessary.

After 2 weeks the benefits can be felt and by 8 to 12 weeks the benefits become even more apparent.

Surgery is no longer necessary when problems can be dealt with non-invasive use of HIFU. Maintenance treatments are recommeded after 16 to 24 months depending on the client.
